BAE Systems IRCM Web Site:
In October 2003, defense contractor BAE Systems of Nashua, New Hampshire, asked us to develop a campaign which they could use to present to the Department of Homeland Security for the purpose of winning a contract to develop plans for anti-missile systems to defend U.S. commercial planes against shoulder-fired rockets. BAE Systems is the pioneer in the area of infra-red technology used to thwart missile attacks on military aircraft. In a post 9-11 world, the need to protect commercial aircraft from similar attacks is now crucial. 24 companies were asked to make their case as to why they should be selected for this important work.

After receiving their marching orders, Clementi Associates set about the task of developing a theme that would be applied to a ‘presentation’ web site, pocket folder and other marketing materials. Clementi Associates came back with their creative suggestions in less than a week. The winning theme was, ‘Freedom. Redefined.’ It spoke to the profound changes in our world since the attacks on 9-11, and how BAE Systems could be trusted to make air travel safer. In the week following the selection of the theme, the Clementi team set about designing and writing content for the web site. Again, we delivered ‘spot-on’ creative in an incredibly short timeframe.

Clementi Associates is extremely proud of the role it played in this effort. The creative campaign developed opened the door for BAE Systems to be one of three companies chosen (the others were Northrop Grumman and United Airlines) to begin this important work, which could result in BAE Systems procuring a multi-billion dollar contract to develop the technology to be used on commercial aircraft.

If you have a marketing program that requires ‘spot-on’ creative, consider Clementi Associates. What we accomplished for BAE Systems is what we aim for when developing creative content for each and every one of our clients.
